Our Company

NextGen Environmental Research Inc. is a research and development company based in Winnipeg, Canada, that bridges academia and industry to solve challenges in environmental mapping, monitoring and assessment. We develop and apply solutions by integrating science and technology.

Our Ethic

Our service to you is exciting because, at NextGen, we love what we do. We strive to map and monitor change because it builds understanding. Knowledge enables people to develop sustainably, make the most of our resources, or can tell us if it is time to intervene and set things right. It is all about good stewardship while making the most of our lives. Our dedication is evident in the quality of our work. It is more than a worthwhile pursuit and all the while we are having fun!

Our Approach

Environmental companies are increasingly investing in remote sensing technologies from space, air, or water because it is believed digital data is key to understanding. Indeed, observation is the first step. However, the increased accessibility of these technologies poses new problems. It is now important to distinguish between technical data providers from those that generate meaningful and actionable information.

NextGen is a multidisciplinary organization rooted in science and technology. Let our experienced team turn your mapping and monitoring data into information for you.

This company could not have been built without the tremendous influence of the late Dr. David G. Barber, the world renowned climate and ice researcher who created the Center for Earth Observation Science, U of Manitoba. David left an indelible imprint on my life. This page and the outcomes of my company are dedicated entirely to his memory and his vision for the future.
